Best Friends Pet Personals

Hellloooo Everybody!!! My name is Moon!  I spend most of my time at Best Friends in Houston, hanging out with my pals at Greyhound Pets of America!  My nick name is Moon Pie or Maggie Moon Pie.  But Moon is O.k. by me!  I am what you would call a female black brindle Greyhound.  I'm only 2 years old and boy oh boy am I still a puppy!  I think I would get along with just about anyone who is young at heart, kitties don't bother me much and 2 legged pups are cool too.  I'm full of energy so get ready!  My favorite game is Stop and Go but I'm much better at the Go part!  I love to go fast so maybe that's why I'm so good at riding in cars.  Come by and see me, I'm loads of fun maybe we can play a game or two together!

Best Friends Pet Personals

My name is Joey; I currently live at Best Friends Pet Care with the Greyhound Pets of America rescue group.  They call my coloring Black and White ticked, and I'm what some may call big boned for my breed I'm long and big.  But don't let my size fool you I just want to be cuddled and loved on.  I'm looking for a family that is big on renting movies, channel surfing and hanging out.  I excel in two different sportting events, long distance lounging and sleeping.  Don't let my laid back attitude fool you I'm still fun loving and outgoing.  I can sprint for a short amount of time but because of my size I'm not very fast.  Let's see, my favorite song would have to be "Lean on You (me)" by Bill Withers.  That song say's lot about me, I think.  Another one of my favorite things to do is savor the goodness of life!-and by life I'm mean food!  There's nothing like a big bowl full of kibble.  Yum, Yum however please if you would like to try some of my food you better get your own bowl because I'm not good at sharing.  To learn more about me and my friends check us out at Greyhound Pets of America or call Best Friends Pet Care for more information.  I look forward meeting you and your family.

Employee of the Week!

Hello, my name is Tiffany and I'm this week's employee of the week! Here's little bit about me and my best friend.

I'm in collage for business administrations; I also plan on backpacking around Europe for 6 to9 months.  After college I plan on opening a coffee shop.  I consider myself to be a very busy person with many responsibilities.  I take care of an elderly couple during the weekend, make mobiles for extra money, and I also (with the help of my room mates)  rehabilitate stray cats that may have been put down other wise.  I am pround to say that we have a 100% success rate.  When I'm not doing my side jobs I spend time with my Goddaughter, Luna.  At Best Friends I feed, monitor, and clean up after the pet guests.  I feel that when a pet seems distress or lonely, I try to provide company and comfort to them.  Also to amke sure they have the best time at Best Friends Pet Care, beacuse it's best to stay with friends!

I have a funny story about one guest that comes here and is special to me.  His name is Guinness, he is an 11 year old fawn colored Greyhound.  He is an old timer around these parts; he was actually adopted from Greyhound Pets of America out of this very building.  Ther first time I saw Guinness I had only been here for about two weeks and I only got a small peak at him and I thought he was a deer!  I thought to myself Best Friends boards deer's?!  It clearly was a mistake of false identity, but now whenever he comes to visit I have to spend a little time with him because it reminds me of the wonderment I felt the first week I thought Guinness was a deer.

Stop By and meet us, we love to show you around!

New Year's Resolution

Resolution to Make 2010 a Record Year for Greyhound Adoptions

Best Friends Houston and Greyhound Pets of America Houston have set their sites high this year to find new, loving homes for all our Greyhound friends.  For the past 12 years, Greyhound Pets of America Houston, has called Best Friends Houston their home.  From housing the greyhounds in a dedicated wing, to office space that doubles as an adoption area, we are delighted to contribute to the ongoing success of Greyhound Pets of America Houston.

Have you ever thought about adopting a Greyhound?  What about becoming a foster parent to a Greyhound?  Want to volunteer your time to help care and exercise the Greyhounds?  What about volunteering to be a member of the bath brigade?  There are so many ways you as a dog lover can help our friends.  Click here to see how you can help support GPA.

Let's band together and find permanent homes for all our Greyhound friends.  E-mail gpanet@sbcglobal.net for more details on how you can help today!
